The People Democratic Party Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has not hidden his intention to be president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2019 as he congratulates the Supper Eagles on Saturday after a 1 – 1 draw with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
The Super Eagles fought very hard to avoid a defeat in the hands of the South Africa national team after having two goals scored on both half of the match erroneously ruled offside by an assistant referee to the amazement of football supporters around the world.
The Super Eagles have now qualified for the African Cup of nations AFCON 2019 with 10 points and a match to spare. They will be playing Seychelles in a last match that will more be regarded as ‘training match’ since the outcome will have no decisive effect on the AFCON 2019 qualification.
Atiku has in reply to a tweet by the Super Eagles verified official twitter handle on Saturday said “We will be here to cheer you to victory in the coming tournament” after the Super Eagles twitted “Its full time here at the FNB, Johannesburg, South Africa”
It is probably only Atiku that can confirm if the “here” he referred to in his tweet means Aso Rock the seat of power of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Atiku must probably be tweeting from his residence in Abuja and he is known to be a proud supporter of the Nigeria Super Eagles.
